Failed seed and nut loaf


 If this works for you...yay! if it doesn't, 

go to the variations section.

3 cups oats
½ cup dates
½ cup pumpkin seeds
½ cup sunflower seeds
¼ cup flax seeds
1 cup hazelnuts - roughly chopped
2 Tblsp sesame seeds
2 Tblsp rice pops (yes, the breakfast cereal)
1 tsp mixed spice
80g butter
½ cup honey

Put the butter and honey in a pot and melt.
Throw everything else into a mixer
Add melted butter mix to the dry ingredients - mix well

Prepare two loaf tins with baking paper
Divide mix between tins

Bake - 30 mins @ 180° (160° fan-forced)

And when that doesn't work.....variations


Muesli slice....
Take one of the failed loaves and add 50g butter and ¼ cup honey - melted.
Press into a small tray and pop in fridge.
Slice when cold,

Apple crumble topping...
4 apples - peeled and sliced - Bake in oven till soft but not smashed.
Fold through 2 Tblsp lemon curd
Top with failed seed and nut loaf
Serve with yoghurt.

Failed seed and nut bread...
Using a bread makers white bread recipe 
Leave out sugar
Add ½ cup of failed seed and nut mix

Bliss Balls...
½ cup whole dates - cut and soaked
1Tblsp coconut oil - you may need more if you have more mix left
Whizz the whole lot together in a blender
Roll into balls
Coat in coconut
